We watched a pair of bald eagles all weekend - one sits on the nest, and the other on a perch in a neighboring tree, talking to one another constantly. And then off they would fly to stretch their wings and have a look around, and then return and change positions.

My office has a greenroof which absorbs and slows the rain, and then the remaining water spills down this tea-cup chain to a pot full of Irises on the ground. I've timed it, and it can take up to 2 hours after it begins to rain before water is flowing down the chains.
